Concept Fashion Weekend

I know, I know! Los Angeles Fashion Week was like two whole months ago but if you've been a reader of this blog for some time you should already know that I'm the most procrastinating motherfucker in the fucking world.(In case you give a fuck) I plan on working on my procrastination  problems in the upcoming year, so much so that i'm starting now, with this post!

Meet Jessie. She's da shit and so are the little frenz that live in her car!
Look at those fucking shoes! (BY UNIF)
I really enjoyed this swimwear installation, all the girls were super on point.

This year the event was held at Quixote, which was a very
different vibe from last years Siren Studios (in a good way).
I must say we got stopped gazillion times for peeps to give
Jess compliments on her hair, and its all hers boo (not one track!) lulz.

This was a show I got to speak to a few people from different areas in the fashion industry. Before the show started I spoke to an online boutique owner who was on the eve of her launch which was super inspiring, flirted with a hot male model from Paris who later turned out to be a little creepy, and spoke to a bunch of fellow bloggers.

After the show, Jess took me to this uber cute Japanese restaurant that wasn't too far from the venue, where were ate delicious eats, drank probably the best mojitio i've ever had, and gabbed about life.

Beauty Con LA 2013!

So a couple weekends ago, SUR ARN and I attend BeautyCon LA! It was held at Siren Studios in Hollywood, and although we had fun and received a ton of free shit (Well, I did! Sorry SUR ARN) it was also one of the most annoying days eva!
We arrived at 9:30 and the event began at 10 am thinking: "Hey, 30 minutes early should be good enough." Hell fucking no it wasn't! The line was already a half a mile long when I dropped off SUR ARN to get in line. Luckily for me though I did get free parking and in Hollywood, honey that is already a fucking score!
Then, we stood in line for 6 hours. I know what you're thinking, cause we were thinking the same thing (fuck dis bullshit). It also didn't help that it was 90 degrees outside, so fucking hot that the Hubby Bar that I packed melted during the wait. BTW if you don't know what a Hubby bar is: first kill yourself, revive yourself, google it, then get your hands on one of those fuckers! But back to BeautyCon. It hit capacity earlier than the event coordinators anticipated. So everyone in line had to wait hours in order to get in. After a trip to Starbucks, the thrift store, Rite Aid, Walgreens, and the liquor store 3x (for ice cold Arizona's of course!) there was no way I wasn't  going to experience BeautyCon so we waited 6 entire hours.
Now to the fun and free shit!

While in line, I saw some reps for whiting lighting and sparked a conversation with one of their reps who was such a sweetheart! After hearing how long I had been waiting she gave me a free Whiting Kit! Which was perfect seeing that I have been thinking about ordering one on-line for months! Can't wait to try it, thanks boo! (if you're reading)
Anne or Shine also came out and said hello to those waiting, SUR ARN luvs her! So this moment was magical!
When I finally got in the event, I received this super cute bracelet that said BeautyCon on it and purchased the gift bag (it was only ten dollars). I had so many goodies and was worth at least triple what I paid.

I also  got to met one of my favorite youtube gurus, Shameless Maya! She was so amazing to meet, #DOYOUBOO! BTW thats the gift bag I was telling you about! In her hand is this painting SUR ARN made for her.

It kinda sucked that Mary J. Blogz wasn't there but while walked back to the car i saw this, so in a way she was there.

Overall I had an amazing time, can't wait to attend next year! 2014!

This is  SUR ARN at the end of the event. Poor thing, he thought it was a good idea to eat the entire melted Hubby Bar. LULZ! Word from the wise, never do this!

Mariah Carey Collabz

The series of songs/videos that i'm going to briefly touch base on, is better than actual human life. Mariah Carey is an entity all by herself, but something magical happens when she hops on a track with another artist.  Let's take a walk down memory lane, shall we? (we shall, keep scrolling!)

This remix is the entire shit. I love watching Mariah prance around in her multi million dollar mansion looking classy as ever..and then... then Da Brat comes in puts her stank all over this beat and now here we are with a 90's R&B remixed masterpiece.

There's Mariah & Missy singing over a WEST COAST ANTHEM..there's Da Brat in a wedding dress, there's an appearance by Snoop Dogg. We have Mariah remxing two incredible songz at the same damn time. I don't have anything else to say.

The Cam'Ron x Mariah Carey collaboration is a huge fucking deal. Just the fact that this happened is enough for this song to be on the list.
Heartbreaker is proabably my favorite Mariah Carey collab  of all time, I don't know why Jay-z wasn't in this video. That's what really breaks my heart.

Honestly guys, I never listen to this song because it makes me sad as fuck. Sooooo beautiful but it's soooo sad. When i was little i used to think that this song was a love song but when i realized that this song is proably the number one song played at funerals I was sorta over it. However, that doesn't take away from the fact that this is one of the best collabz that has ever happened in music, EVER.

I hate that Mariah and Nicki hate each other. They're adorable together in this song and Mariah always shines when she duets with female rappers. Sadly, i don't think super glue or acrylic can mend their relationship so no more Mariah x Nicki collabz. *tear

It saddens me that there isn't an official Fantasy remix video, but in all actuality this is a remix of a remix so i'm just happy that Puff Daddy and the powers to be saw it fit to perfect a song that was already perfected.

I can't EVEN with this song right now, like seriously. What do you expect me to say? That this song is a  fucking angelic masterpiece that came down from the heavens above to give us talentless individuals a glimpse of what it sounds like when an angels cum together in unison.

"I can can climb a mountain hiiiiiiiggghhhhhhh" that note right there is the nucleus of the entire song.

In my mind, no one knows this song exists. Well it does...and here it is in all it's glory.

Mariah multiplied her street cred 1000x when she re-made this song.
